I want to take this time to welcome you to my blog. And before I get into it, I want to say all are welcome! So, feel free to bring along your moms and dads, aunties and uncles. This blog is for daughters of all ages and for those raising us too! So, if you just need a question answered or your voice heard. This is for you.
I want to dedicate this blog and the accompanying podcast to all the girls who crave to hear a loving voice from a trusted community and a loving person. In this safe space you’ll find general life tips that I have picked up along the way. Growing up surrounded by an extremely extended family I picked up a couple hacks for this thing called life and I’m happy to pass them on to all of you.
So, why letters? Well, let me tell you a story about my dad… my father was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. In his adulthood he came to live in New York City and as a very hardworking man was seeking a better life. He met my mom, got married, and they had me! Sometime in between all those wonderful things he became an alcoholic and an addict, landed himself in jail and contracted a disease that would put him in an early grave. Tragic. I know. However…
While my dad was in his deathbed, he did the only thing he knew to get his message to me in a way that I would not easily forget. He wrote me letters. He wrote to tell me his vision for a future he knew he would not be a part of, he wrote to tell me of his mistakes and how he could’ve been better. He wrote letters to tell me how much he loved me and how I could be better.
I don’t want to wait for a tragic moment or a diagnosis to pass on my traditions and advises. So I’ll do it today, and continue what my father started with me. I will write some letters and I hope you will join me.
We all know it takes a village so please join mine and if you have a letter you’d like to write to your daughter, my daughter or any daughter, we’d love to hear your own experiences, struggles, triumphs and wisdom… please inbox me and I will be happy to feature it in a post!!
Ok here goes…

Dearest Daughter, I hope this letter finds you well. I want to start with that.. wishing you the very best and praying you are somewhere wishing for the best for yourself as well. I know this world is sometimes harsh but I want you to know somewhere, there is...
